NUMERO is the one of the best reissue label in USA. Their compilations surprised me every time, of course, this one also. Their works has big love to "Vinyl music". I really respect it. Dante Carfagna and Rob Sevier did deep research for the Forte label, and made a great booklet too. I met Dante a couple times. His ability to memorize is like a computer. I think his brain is twice bigger than mine.

This is also a great reissue. To be honest, B-side is OK ballad. But A-side "Turn me on" is sooo nice disco! It's available on Kon & Amir's 『Off Track Vol.2』,just on CD, not on Vinyl... So,this vinyl reissue makes me happy because I can play the song by SL-1200. I can recommend it not only for DJs but sweet soul lovers.

This is a fantastic reissue too.This is not reggae. This is Afro Jazz. Could I call the sound "Gorge style" too? I want to ask it to Mr.Mameshiba who works at JETSET. Aubey Adams's piano is sooo beautiful, anyway.

Cid Rim's new ep was good. I don't know his music background or anything about him. So I have no idea what I should write about it... I just like this ep, especially the tune called "Fade". I feel some ravey mood from it. I like Rave music too, by the way.

Japanese living-legend house DJ, Nori's new ep gave me a big surprise. The title tune is like Avan-pop sound! I really love it. He comes my store sometime. He is not only a great DJ. He has a great personal grace too. という訳で、意味なく中学生の英作文以下なチャートを書いてみました。日本語で書くと愚痴がでそうなので。おまけに誰も読んでいないし。もちろん今回も順不同です。では、最後に一言、I own a small used record store called "Weekend Records" near by JETSET TOKYO, English speakers welcome!

Profile

神戸のバー『Gospel』勤務、大阪の『Meets』誌にての編集を経て、渡米。ニューヨーク市立大学映画科を中退後、ブルックリンにて中古レコードショップ『Weekend Records』を設立。DJ Shadow等のフェイヴァリット・レコードショップとしても知られる(http://www.redbullmusicacademy.com/magazine/new-york-stories-hua-hsu）。DJとしての活動は、ウィリアムズバーグの『Galapagos』、イーストヴィレッジの『Black　Star』、『イージー・バー』でのレギュラー ・パーティや、FMラジオ局『WFMU』での番組出演など。その後、諸事情により、やむなく帰国。某レコード店のバイヤー、音楽＆映画ライター、DJなどで活動していたが、現在は『Weekend Records Tokyo』を何を思ったのか始めてしまって地獄のような模索の日々(http://weekendrecordstokyo.tumblr.com/)。JET SET TOKYOから徒歩１分。是非！
